SPRING!!!!! ….Ah alas, almost but not quite with all the April showers. However I have a feeling its going to be a good summer  (but don’t quote me on that) ….

So over the last month Sel’s Art and Designers have been mostly walking  in our spare time taking in the spring air and inspiration of Howsham Woods not far from our house. Its literally about to burst into a carpet of Bluebells if anyone is looking to see some this year you can get into the woods easily just outside of Westow on the road to Kirkham…..Which is turning out to be another regular haunt, especially the Stone Trough Inn to be refreshed with a shandy after a lovely spring walk.

I’ve had quite a few requests and questions about pet portraits of late. I am always willing to give any pet or animal a try if I haven’t done them before… there always needs to be a first time. So please continue to ask away any questions.  Usually I ask for a few good photo’s of yours or whoever’s pet it is, so if you have some in mind send them over and I can work out a price according to content and size. I love doing these… its so rewarding hearing

about how happy the customer/ customers gift recipient is to recognise and appreciate the character of their pets in my paintings. Knowing that I have made something for someone to remember their beloved pets for ever is something really special to me. Thank you to all those who have commissioned pet portraits so far, I have loved painting every single one!! 🙂
